We love the *FREE* upgrade for life of Coffee Cup HTML Editor the most. The newest version of Coffee Cup HTML Editor includes a Visual Editor (WYSIWYG) which offers drag and drop capability to make it easy for even someone who has never worked with an HTML editor before to create web pages.

As for what makes it fun... well, Coffee Cup HTML Editor barks! You have to try the software to know what we mean LOL.

We weren't sure about getting a domain so we opted for the cheapest that we could find but with the services we wanted. For this web site, www.ataleformax.com, we opted to go with www.dot5hosting.com.

The most cost effective plan we found on www.dot5hosting.com was for $57.00*, for a 12 month term. That's less than $6 a month! You get tons of space, bandwidth, an ecommerce site, unlimited email accounts, and 10 subdomains. Be warned, however, that if you're new to managing a domain it takes some time to figure everything out.

*Note (added 02/15/2010): As with most web hosting companies, be forewarned that the price you pay for the first year is only an "introductory" price. Each year the price for web hosting goes to their "regular" pricing which is considerably a lot more sometimes. You also have to pay each year to renew your domain registration. From our research, we found this to be a common practice among web hosts and though we have tried many times, we cannot find the "regular" year pricing for web hosts listed anywhere on the internet and when contacted, web hosting companies could (or would) not give us an exact pricing for "regular" years. For example, for this website, the prices we have paid for the first "introductory" year compared to the prices for the past three years:

It is worth stating that our host package at www.dot5hosting.com has been upgraded with more storage, bandwidth, email accounts, etc but this upgrade was a "forced" upgrade as we had no choice but to accept the upgrade if we decided to let www.dot5hosting.com continue to be our web host. Since, we have been fairly satisfied with the customer service, web site availability, and web site maintenance tools, for now, we our staying with www.dot5hosting.com.

If you do decide to register with www.dot5hosting.com and you have any questions, feel free to contact us and we'll try to help. There is a free "live" help support service on www.dot5hosting.com but the one time we did use that service, we found them to be too slow answering our question.

The best part about this host service is that you get a $50 credit for Overture (we haven't used this yet), which is the Yahoo advertising program. Be aware that www.dot5hosting.com will call you on the phone to verify your registration so make sure you give them a number where they can reach you.
